Allen Walker was just an infant when his parents abandoned him in front of the doorsteps of Mana Walker, who became his adoptive father. The little boy had a scarlet red left arm—cursed, as some people would call it—and everyone but Mana shunned him as a demon child. Mana worked in a performing troupe, so Allen worked alongside him as a pierrot. Those were the happiest days of his life, until Mana suddenly passed away from a mysterious disease. Distraught by his loss, Allen lingered by his grave for days. His distress unintentionally called upon the Millenium Earl, a mysterious figure who could call back people from the dead as tortured souls, also known as akuma. When the Earl brought Mana back to life as an akuma, Mana immediately cursed Allen’s left eye and almost killed him. Allen’s deformed left arm suddenly transformed and destroyed Mana without Allen’s subconscious consent.

In fact, Allen was born an exorcist. He had what was called innocence imbued in his left arm, which enabled him to destroy other akuma and send them to their rightful place in the spiritual world. Though destroying the akuma was the only way to save their souls, Allen was so shocked that his hair turned completely white from the trauma. An exorcist general named Marian Cross took Allen under his wing, teaching him how to control his innocence and occasionally knocking him out with a hammer on whim.

Allen was fifteen when he joined the Black Order, a society of exorcists dedicated to finding all the innocence and innocence holders of the world to wage war against the Millenium Earl. There, Allen has met many friends and made enemies with the Noahs, puppet family of the Earl. On the last mission before the Noahs revealed to Allen the secret of the Noah’s Ark, he was sucked into the Avoria world. And this is where the story begins.

Allen is a sweet and charming boy; no one would ever suspect him of having gone through so much trauma at such a young age. For most of the time, he is very polite, but he is quite snarky to people who tease him about his height or provoke him at length. Allen loves to eat sweets and eating in general. He’s also extremely talented at cheating in poker, and was once known to have paid off millions of dollars of his master’s debts in a couple rounds. Though he seems level-headed and mature, Allen is still a child at heart and gives in to impulses pretty easily and rashly.
